Pleyel offers its pianos a unique design: pianos signed by contemporary artists. Founded by Ignace Pleyel (1757-1831) in 1807, the Pleyel Pianos have developed a collection of pianos reviving the decorative arts signed by renowned designers. Each of these pianos is published in a limited series of eight copies with the collaboration of Galerie Maeght. The piano offers itself as a new medium of expression for artists and becomes a contemporary creation. Each artist applies his vision and develops new techniques to give free rein to his imagination.
